Geraldina "Dina" Gil Odegard

Dina was born December 11, 1938, in Tangier, Morocco. She met and married Ralph “Phil” Odegard on September 28, 1957, in Tangier at the American Legation where Phil was deployed while serving in the US Marine Corp.

She was a vivacious person who enjoyed social activities and traveling. She loved entertaining her friends and family. She was a long-time congregant of St Martha’s Church in Murrieta, California. She belonged to the Red Hat Society and had a dedicated group of friends in Murrieta that played cards for many years until she moved closer to family in Oregon.

Dina was proceded in death by her loving husband Phil on April 14, 2009. Her youngest child, Ralph “Flip” Odegard II, also proceeded her in death on August 27, 2008.

She is survived by her remaining children, Elaine Odegard of Murrieta, CA, Robert “Bob” Odegard of San Marcos, CA, Ruth Hewitt of Eagle Point, OR, and Dina Flores of San Clemente, CA.

She was a wonderful grandmother to 14 grandchildren and “Gigi” to her 8 great-grandchildren.

She will be truly missed, and her memory will be a blessing to her family and friends forever.

Her remains will be interred along with Phil’s remains at Laurel Cemetery in Murrieta, California.
