Denise grew up in Sisters, Oregon and married Lyle Davis on September 12, 1946. They moved to Medford, Oregon in 1955. Denise was a devoted wife and caregiver. She greatly enjoyed exploring the outdoors with her family. She regularly fished for trout in local lakes, hunted mushrooms in the forests, and foraged for blackberries at every opportunity. Denise was also an adept baker, and prided herself on home cooking. Denise was a loving presence in the lives of her grandchildren. She was also a dog lover, and had several “best friends” that she doted on throughout the years.
Denise Davis is survived by her daughters; Karen (Jim) Cox and Karla (John) Rouhier; grandchildren; Jason (Summer) Cox, Jared (Sandy) Cox-Newsome, Casey (Shannon) Curtis, and Kendra (Matt) Cook; as well as 10 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, 5 nieces and 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle Davis, sister, Nila Trower and sister, Dorthy Campbell.
Denise was loved by her family and her spirit will be greatly missed. There is a private graveside service planned. Denise’s family would like to express their gratitude for the caring medical staff at Asante.
