David Roger Patterson went to heaven on 2/23/2022 at his home in Medford, Oregon. David was born 9/23/1949 to Kennie and Phyllis Patterson in Salem, Oregon. David is preceded in death by his parents Kennie (Edith) Patterson and Phyllis (Bill) Abbott and daughter Jennifer Patterson. David leaves behind his wife Diane, sister Gloria (Chris) Andersen, daughter Stephanie (Rodney) Lowe, grandson Nathaniel Peterson, sister-in-law Peggy (Mark) McAndrew, son Jason Patterson and 3 grandsons.
David & Diane met and married in Salem, Oregon. David worked for Paulson Construction and enjoyed singing in the choir, acting, playing softball and spending time with family & friends. After the loss of their youngest daughter they all moved to Medford and he went to work for T.L.Light Construction with Ron Thornton & Bob Lance. David also worked for Jefferson State Bank, Pacific Trend, Cascade Christian High School and All Natural Pest Elimination.
David & Diane volunteered with Campus Life and he loved coaching JV Football at Cascade along side his friend Andy Maurer. David enjoyed RV camping with his family and friends all over Oregon and especially loved the beach. David spent a lot of time checking off his Bucket List by fishing, ziplining, snow tubing at Diamond Lake, trips to Hawaii, Mexico, the Oregon coast and taking a long Amtrak train trip.
David's love for the Lord showed in his calm, kind and caring spirit. He could often be seen talking and praying with someone he barely knew. He loved attending Applegate Christian Fellowship taught by Pastor Jon Courson for almost 40 years.
David lived with Multiple Sclerosis for over 35 years but was diagnosed with cancer only 2 months ago. He led his brother-in-law Geary to the Lord a couple of days before he passed on 2/6/22. His mother-in-law Jan passed on 2/19/2022 and they are all together in heaven.
