Virginia D. Hall

Mrs. Virginia (Ginny) D. Hall, age 93, formally of Colorado Springs, CO., passed away Monday, May 30, 2022, in Montevallo, AL.
Mrs. Hall was predeceased by her husband, Colonel James H. Hall (USAF ret). Her parents and two sisters.
She is survived by her children. Cindy Stockton (Quinn), Tena Whitworth (Bill), Mary Doak (Bobby) and Colonel John Cherniga (USAF ret) (Joan). Numerous beloved nieces and nephews, and many dear and special friends. And last, but never least five Grandpuppies.
Colonel and Mrs. Hall were beloved by many young people. Many considered them “adopted” parents. Their home was always open. This continued into their retirement years. When many USAF Academy Cadets were a part of the family. Mrs. Hall was a devoted wife and mother. She loved the life of an Air Force wife. She was very active in the Air Force Wives Club. Of which she held many elected posts throughout her husband’s military career. She also was nominated for Air Force Wife of the year. A great honor she held dear and was very proud of.
Remains rest at Woody Funeral Home, Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23116. The Family will receive friends and family, 12 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Atlee Chapel. A memorial service will be held immediately following.
Mrs. Hall will be laid to rest with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery, July 28, 2022. There will be a graveside service from 2:00 pm until 2:30 pm. Anyone who would like to attend are welcome. All attendees must arrive at the Arlington Administration Building no later than 1:15p.m., 1 Memorial Avenue, Arlington,
