Robert Leslie Figg III

Robert Leslie Figg III, age 67, of King William, Va, formerly of Mechanicsville, Va, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Leslie Figg Jr. and Gloria June Tate; and his brothers, Thomas Allen Figg and John Stewart Figg. He is survived by his loving partner, Terry Whittaker; their son, Robert Leslie Figg IV (Amanda Barnett Figg); and grandchildren, Scarlet Grace Figg and Hazel Dawn Figg; siblings Martha Cole Williams and William Cary Figg. Robert’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Robert was the proud owner of Hanover Welding and Metal Fabrication for 42 years, where he built a reputation for his skill and craftsmanship. Outside of work, Robert had a passion for the outdoors. He loved being on the water, whether fishing or simply enjoying the serenity of nature. He also cherished his time riding his ATV around his property in King William, taking in the beauty of the land he called home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and again from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23116. A funeral service to honor Robert’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
