Norman Manley Nix

Norman Manley Nix, 88, of Mechanicsville, VA, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024. He was a firefighter with the City of Richmond and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his daughter, JoAnn Smith and son-in-law, Bill Rossi and is survived by his wife, Betty Nix; children, Michelle Johnson (Robert), Rob Seward (Cathie), Tracie Hollis (Dave), Julia Rossi, W. Keith Nix (Vicki) and Amy Proctor (Bobby); 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and his sibling, Carlton Pridgen. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 2 PM to 4 PM at Woody Funeral Home, Atlee Chapel where a funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 12 PM. The graveside service will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the SPCA in his honor.
