Neil B. All

Neil Byron All, 68, of Mechanicsville, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 12, 2024. He was born on March 9, 1956 in Northampton County to the late Byron Clayton All and Charlotte Harrison All. Neil worked in sales for various technology companies in the area. He was a member of Restoration Church and enjoyed fishing, golf, watching baseball, and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Neil was a collector of people. Everywhere he went, he made or saw a friend. Once he met you, you joined the club as friends for life. When it came to relationships, there was no halfway. Surprisingly, even in his late stages of dementia, he continued to recognize people and often called out their names. Neil was loyal, generous, affectionate, and gracious. Early on when dating his wife, he said his job was to show her how to have fun again and that he did! Neil loved music and had a beautiful singing voice – yet he never got the words 100% correct. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 21 years, Kelly Martin All; daughters, Allison Embrey Chaffin (Joe), Erin K. Embrey, Kendal M. Martin; grandchildren, Oliver, Dawson, and Eleanor Chaffin; brother, Allen Clayton All; and his beloved dog, Pretzel. His greatest joy was being a dad. Although Allison and Erin were his step-daughters, he never referred to them as such, rather they were simply his daughters. That is just the way it was going to be. He embraced his role as father and as Pop to his grandchildren. A celebration of Neil’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Restoration Church, 9161 Atlee Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23116. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Restoration Church or Richmond SPCA.
