John O. "Sonny" Madison

John O. “Sonny” Madison, 80, of Mechanicsville, entered eternal rest on July 7, 2019. John retired from City Wide Decorators and was a member of the Lakeside Moose Lodge. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 41 years, Doris B. Madison; children, Gary Madison (Cheryl) and Frances McKinley (Brian); five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23116, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
