He was born on Nov 1, 1946 in Boone N.C. to the late Marion C. Trivette Sr. and Margie Isaac Trivette.
After attending Thomas Jefferson High School, J.B. served in the U.S. Army from 1966-69. Upon leaving the service, he attended RPI and became a mechanical draftsman. J.B. spent his career as a draftsman where he was a proud member of Sheetmetal Workers Union, Local 100.
J.B. lived his life his way. He was a loving father, a great artist and gentle man. He was a master of all trades, he loved drawing, collecting things, playing computer games, drinking coffee, and especially loved his children, and grandchildren.
J.B. is survived by his children, Kim, Robin and J.B. Jr. (Tina); 4 grandchildren, Philip, Layla, Tucker and Daphne; brother, Marion C. “Red” Trivette Jr. (Nadine); sisters, Becky Melton (Kenny Sr., dec.), Angie Camper (David) preceded in death by sister, Cathy Burkett.
The family will receive friends at Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville, Sunday, June 12th, 2022, from 4-6 pm.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to American Cancer Society.
