Dorothy L. Seal

SEAL, Mrs. Dorothy Loving "Dot," 88, passed away April 12, 2014 at her home in Mechanicsville, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bessie Loving of Sparta, Va.; as well as four brothers, Wesley, Charlie, Harry and Davis. Dot was the devoted wife of 67 years to Kenneth R. Seal Sr. She also leaves to cherish her memory her loving sisters, Margaret (John) of Caret, Va., Katherine of Mechanicsville, Va., Pearl of Poquoson, Va.; her brother, Joseph (Charlotte) of Sparta, Va.; four sons, Kenneth Jr. (Debbie), Ray, Brian (Diane) and Gene; and one daughter, Joyce; along with grandchildren, Crystal, Clint, Alexandra, Josh and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Kathleen, Hayden and Colton. She will be remembered for her great cooking and Saturday night dinners, her love of her beautiful flower gardens and country music, but most of all, her dear and true friends of her Sunday school class at Northside Baptist Church; and her life long devoted friend, "Tudor." The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Route 301 and Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville. Services will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday following the visitation. Interment to follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Sparta, Va.
