David Dalton Brent

David Dalton Brent, 25, passed away on April 17th after a year, long battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving parents, Elwood Roger Brent, Jr. and Frances Simms Brent. One sister, Joy Brent Poteat (Scott), niece, Addison, brothers, Conner Brent (Sarah) and Andrew Brent, and the love of his life fiancé, Elizabeth Baughan. David was a 2010 graduate of Hanover High School and employed by Slurry Pavers, Inc. as a Transportation Generalist. David was passionate about all sports, he especially enjoyed Washington National’s baseball, Pittsburgh Steeler Football and University of Virginia sports. With David’s passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every day, especially his wonderful smile, he will forever remain in our hearts. Visitation for David will be Friday, April 21st, 5-7PM and funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 22nd at 11AM at Woody Funeral Home, Atlee Chapel, Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, VA. A reception will immediately follow the service at Rural Point Elementary School, 7161 Studley Rd., Mechanicsville, VA.
