“Jean” was born on April 23, 1941, to Andrew and Dorothy Beasley Hart. She graduated from Henry Clay High School and retired after a career with Pocahontas Foods in Richmond, Virginia. Jean was a Christian woman who enjoyed gardening, fishing, sports, bowling and knitting. She was voted top athlete in high school and was listed in a publication “Outstanding Young Women of America.”
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, James T. Norris; her children Richard Vaughan, Debora Mathias, David Vaughan, Tammy Deverell, and Tina Adkins; her siblings Kenny Hart, Retta McKenzie, and Sandra Estes; and was overjoyed by her grandchildren Shawn, Brandon, Jamie, Collin, Michael, Courtney, and Cameron; and her great grandchildren Harrison, Wyatt, and Miles.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 2nd from 4pm to 7:30pm at Woody Funeral Home Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville, VA. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 3rd at 11am at the Woody Funeral Home Atlee Chapel.
