Pate Allen Norman

Pate Allen Norman, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on Monday July 8, 2024 at Baylor Scott and White hospital in Temple, TX. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024 at First Assembly of God Church in Moody, TX. Interment will follow in Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby, TX. Visitation will be Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor, TX.

Pate was born on August 16, 1968 to Ed and JoAnn Norman in Windham, CT. Pate and his family moved to Texas when he was one year old. He was a longtime member of The First Assembly of God Church in Moody, TX where he was a part of the praise and worship as the drummer. Pate loved his church family and friends. He graduated from Moody High School in 1987. He participated in the band as a drummer.

On August 9, 1997, Pate married the love of his life, Sarah “Becky” Norman. They were married exactly one month shy of 27 years. They had four children Jessica, Regan, Caleb and Cameron. Pate loved his wife, children, and grandbabies. He enjoyed all the time they spent together. He loved being outside, playing drums and helping others. He never met a stranger.

Pate was preceded in death by his father, Ed Norman, Paternal grandparents, William and Ann Norman, maternal grandparents, Pate and Eleanor Hughes, mother and father in law, Willie and Lucy Sauseda.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah “Becky” Norman of Moody; mother JoAnn Norman of Moody; daughters, Jessica Wade and husband, Patrick of Waco, Regan Tatro and husband, Colton of Hewitt, son, Caleb Norman and fiancé, Emerita Mcgurk of Killeen, son Cameron Norman and Companion, Patiance Alexander of Moody; grandchildren: Rainie Owens, Liam, Eoin, and Stormie Wade, Jayton & RayleeTatro, Malachi and Fraya Norman, Ray Jones, Delilah Ava and Mason Norman; brother, Danny Jones of Belton; sisters, Phyllis Pool of Troy, Karen Goff of Moody.

Pallbearers: Brazos Skipper, Barrett Hubbard, Dalton Barnes, Mikey Soliz, Josh Richter, Robert Soliz Jr., Benson Soliz, and Jason Jones.
