Margaret Ruth Denker

Margaret Ruth Denker, 92 of McGregor, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 in Gatesville. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Cole Funeral Home with Dr. Philip Riegel officiating. Interment will follow in Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the funeral home.

Margaret was born on June 17, 1929 to Joseph Coy and Virdie (Hendricks) Leatherbury in Butler, Oklahoma. Margaret married the love of her life, Alfred Lee Denker on December 15, 1946 in Oklahoma, She was a longtime resident of McGregor. Margaret was a faithful member of College Avenue Baptist Church in McGregor. She was also a homemaker. Margaret enjoyed sewing, square dancing, playing cards, and gardening. She was a member of the gardening club. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alfred Lee Denker, grandson, Brian Bolin, great-grandchildren: Bryson, Bostyn, Bella Dinger, son-in-laws, Rodney Bolin and Ronny Smith.

Survivors include her daughters, Gladys West and husband Donald of Oglesby, Glenda Smith of Crawford, Gail Bolin of Crawford, and Gerri Hackfeld and husband, Mike of Columbus; grandchildren: Cynthia Derrick and husband, Aaron, Sherry Standridge and husband, Stacy, Angelia Bell and husband, Harold Donoso, Donald West, Jr. and wife, Julissa, Tasha Daniel and husband, Justin, Trent Smith and wife, Brittany, Terrence Smith and wife Sarah, Chasty Bolin and Bobby Landrum, Stephanie Polasek and husband, Bradley, Kaci Luedke and husband, Ron, Meagan Semora and husband, Willie and Dane Hackfeld; 26 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great grandchildren.
