Joe B. Ross

Joe Bertice Ross of McGregor, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at the age of 69. Joe is predeceased by his parents, Bertice and Wanda (Smallwood) Ross of Pasadena. He leaves his loving wife of 49 years, Linda (Chaudoin) Ross of McGregor. Joe is warmly remembered by his daughter, Lisa (Ross) Satory, son-in-law David Satory II, four grandchildren Blake, Ryder, Brooklyn, and Kennedy Satory, all of Henderson, Nevada. He is also survived by his sister Linda (Ross) Gammel of Baytown, and brother Jimmy Ross of Bacliff.

Joe was born on December 19, 1947, in Waco. After graduating from Oglesby High School in 1967, he attended Sul Ross State University before joining the Air Force. He graduated from Texas State Technical College in 1971. As a Quality Assurance Lead Inspector at Hercules/Alliant Tech, he worked for many years before its closing. Joe served as Building Manager of Waco State Office Building until his retirement in 2011, where he was beloved by everyone. He also proudly served as Past Master of McGregor Masonic Lodge.

With passions for refinishing furniture, fishing, working in his shop, and golfing, he always stayed busy.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 19, at 11:00am at McGregor Cemetery with visitation from 9:30am to 10:30am at Cole Funeral Home prior to the service.
