James David Maberry Jr., age 98, of Milano, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Graveside services will be Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Comanche Springs cemetery in McGregor, Texas with Reverend Chris Marsh officiating.
James was born on September 19, 1926 to James David and Mattie Lee (Butler) Maberry in Crawford, Texas. He was a longtime resident Crawford, Texas. He married the love of his life, Sarah Garlene Yeager on June 17, 1954 in McGregor, Texas. James retired from the construction industry as Civil and Industrial Engineer from Texas A & M. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, and hunting and most of all, spending time with his family.
James is preceded in death by his parents, son, James Kelly Maberry, brother , Billy Gene Maberry; sister, Leona Maberry.
Survivors include his wife, Garlene Maberry of Milano, Texas; daughter, Kim Jenkins and husband, Harry of South Dakota; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Melba Maberry of Milano, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
