Wesley Bond

Wesley Grant Bond, age 64, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 23, 2023. He was born June 21, 1959 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Joseph Bond and Irene Crews. He is preceded in death by grandson, Declan Bond and sister, April Bond. “Wes” as he was fondly referred to as was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting deer and camping. He was a hardworking technician at Shumate Mechanical providing excellent service to all who met him. Wes is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Bond of Locust Grove; son, Joseph (Christina) Bond of Ball Ground, Georgia; grandson, Ezra Bond; brothers, Eddie (Melissa) Holbrooks of York, South Carolina, Earnest (Cheryl) Bond of Jackson, Georgia, Rick Holbrooks of Pensacola, Florida; sisters, Cathy (Bill) Clark of Loganville, Georgia, Donna Wilson of Loganville, Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, June 26, 2023 in the chapel at Haisten Funerals and Cremations. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.
