To one of the greatest men that I have ever met during our time working together for Georgia Department of Public Safety. Thank you Toy for sharing your wisdom, wit and heart with us all. May God continue to Bless your family with an immense anointing; allowing Toy's spirit to remain a Familial spiritual beacon. Rest in Peace Dear Brother. 

So sorry to hear this. I worked at the lab with Toy. He was a wonderful person that loved his family. Prayers for all.

I do not have just one favorite memory. Every minute I spent with him was my favorite. I remember every time we saw him he would call us nicknames like scruffy looking and if it was our birthday he would call us buzzards. When it was his birthday and we called him a buzzard, he would say that buzzards don’t have birthdays. I remember during the summer when we would walk in the door he would give us bags full of blueberries he picked himself. I will always remember how kind, caring, loving, humorous he was. I look forward to seeing him again.

My dad Toy David Roach.  Where do I start..  He is loving, kind, caring, and protective of his family.   His love for my mom is unmeasurable.    Always holding moms hand.   His love for his sons and grand children is unmeasurable.  Thanks to my dad I came to know Jesus as my savior.  He put his family first.   When we needed him he was there for each one of us.   I called mom and dad just about every day since I got married.   We visited at least once a month if not every other week.   Not often enough.  Dad was there greeting us with mom.   I remember before I got married I used to walk the yard at night.  Dad would come out the door and put his arm around me and asked if I was alright.   Dad would call to check on each of us, his children and grandchildren.   Dad gave us everything that showed that love and I see his qualities in each of us.  Deeply missed by each of us.   I know he is in Heaven.  He knows Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.   What a great reunion day it will be when we whom know Christ as our savior it will be.

RIP Toy!

I recall visiting the kiddos' grandparents one hot summer day. The children were in the house with their grandmother, and I had stepped outside to take in the beautiful view of the country just outside the brick ranch home.

David was outside as well. He smiled at me and waved a pair of binoculars. I took them from his hand and looked out across the woods towards a clearing where a large buck, a doe, and two baby deers were hanging out.

It was coolly magical -- and funny when the Buck looked up as if sensing us staring, even though we had to be too far away to see us.

This scene played in my head when I learned David had passed of a heart attack this Friday. Thanks for being one of the good guys. Love you.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Ann Roach, children Michael (Alicia) Roach of Dallas, GA, Dwayne (Deborah) Roach of Stockbridge, GA. and Allen Lee Roach of McDonough, GA. Five grandchildren, Jennifer Roach, Hailey Roach, Gabrielle Roach, Adam Roach and Orion Roach. One sister, Dorothy Ann Duke of Jackson, GA.
