She was born June 18, 1929, in Tampa, Florida and grew up in Miami, Florida, when it was considered a small town. She married Bill DeMoss in 1947 and began a journey throughout Florida, moving frequently as Bill climbed the corporate ladder. They moved to Georgia in 1964 and never looked back.
The one constant in her life was her love for Jesus. She exemplified her favorite Bible verse,
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.” (Proverbs 3:4-5)
Sophia is survived by her brother Mario Rollo; daughter, Terry Murillo (John); son, Steve DeMoss; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; daughter, Andee Rogers; a great-grandson; a great great granddaughter; brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Church Covington, 11975 SR-142, Oxford, Ga 30054 at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 30, 2022.
