Scott Tatum was born in Marietta, GA on November 16, 1962 to Ronda Marie Tatum. He attended Pebblebrook High School and later went on to attend DeKalb Tech where he earned his Electrical License. He was a dedicated worker, a first one there and last one to leave kind of employee. That drive helped him to become a Master Electrician and one of the most respected Electrical Superintendents. Along the way, he met his wife of 36 years, Cheryl Marshall Tatum. Their marriage was one to be admired, and they were truly soulmates. Scott and Cheryl later welcomed two children; Brian Tatum and Ashley Stephens. Brian and his wife, Danielle, are the parents of granddaughters Abigail and Aubrey Kate. Ashley and Glenn Stephens are the parents of granddaughters Tatum and Madison. These four girls were his world. The only thing he loved more than his family was our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl; his son Brian (Danielle); his daughter Ashley (Glenn); his four beautiful granddaughters Abigail & Aubrey Kate Tatum, Tatum and Madison Stephens; his mother-in-law Pat Marshall; his siblings Charlie, Mike, and Susan Tatum; and a niece and several nephews. He is proceeded in death by his mother, Ronda Tatum; his brother, Jeff Tatum; his niece Jessica Tatum; his father-in-law, Ralph Marshall; and his only grandson, Keegan Tatum. On October 5, 2019 there will be Celebration of Life honoring Scott at Avalon Church in McDonough, GA. Family will receive visitors from 1:00 -1:45pm with services to begin at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to either the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation or the Atlanta Humane Society.
