Robert “Bobby” Nelson Chumbley, age 70, of Locust Grove, GA passed away January 26, 2018. Bobby was born and raised in Locust Grove, GA. Before his declining health he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, hunting and working in construction. He served his country in the US Army in Vietnam and was a member of County Line Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Julius V. Chumbley and Nancy Hulsy Chumbley, his father, Joseph M. Chumbley; and a brother, Ira Joe Chumbley. Survivors are his mother, Mary Irene Barnes Chumbley of Locust Grove; sisters, Mary Diane West of Jackson and Brenda Wright of Brooks, GA; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Service for Bobby Chumbley will be on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Hampton, Georgia.
