Richard Gene Guest

Mr. Richard Gene “Dick” Guest, age 68 of McDonough, Georgia passed away May 23, 2015. Dick was born in Albertville, Alabama, oldest of eight children, to Miriam Marie Fant Guest and the late Gaston Russell Guest. Dick retired after over 30 years with DeKalb County and was a member of Stewart Baptist Church in Covington. He enjoyed tinkering with gadgets and playing with his ham radio as KI4DD. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joan Davis Guest; daughter, Angela Michell Campbell of Rockmart; grandchildren, Amber Campbell (Tony) Kirk of Rockmart, Joshua (Megan) Campbell of Armuchee; mother, Marie (Ben) Masden of Conyers; siblings, Nancy (Michael) Glozier of Ball Ground, Jerry Guest of Georgia, Finee (Bruce) Denham of Decatur; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Pastor Jerry Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
