Mary I Gibbons

Mary Ilettie Gibbons, age 98, passed away on June 27, 2023. She was born June 18, 1925 in East Point, Georgia to her parents the late Willie Guess Langley and Plumer Montoria Langley. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James E. Gibbons; son, Amos Jerald Shipp, brother, John Douglas Langley and a sister, Ruth Langley Butler. Mary loved her family unconditionally and her family returned that immense amount of love to her throughout her life. She attended Mount Bethel United Methodist Church in McDonough, Georgia where she gathered in worship. The love she showed will continue on in the surviving family members; her children, Millie Rebecca Hoffman, Diana Marie Green, Jim (Cindy) Gibbons; sister, Grace Langley Sheffield; sister-in-law Muriel Langley; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will take place on July 5, 2023 from 4PM until 7PM at Haisten Funerals and Cremations. Funeral service will be held on July 6, 2023 at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place at Georgia Memorial Park.
