Mrs. Martha "Janell" Boyd, age 69 of Stockbridge, Georgia passed away December 3, 2020. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Clyde Melvin and Martha Esther Brumbelow Cochran. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Lea and Barbara Morgan and by a granddaughter, Lakyn Danielle Ware. Janell was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She lived to care for her children and grandchildren and was known for playing pranks on Wally and reciting her "Mary Had A Little Lamb" joke. She loved to play card games and watch the "Golden Girls" and "I Love Lucy". Janell was "His Lady Love" to Wally "Grandteddy" Boyd; children, Mark (Kim Lee) Ware of Monticello, Danna (Ronald) McHone of Jackson, Joani (Trevion) Clemons of Stockbridge, Sue (Mario) Boyd of Stockbridge and Vickie (Ricky) Maddox of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Austin (Brandon) Jimenez of Salem OR, Lexcia Clemons of Lawrenceville, Abbie (Patrick) Hansrote of Hampton, Mark Ware, Jr. of Monticello, Maci Ware of Orange Beach, AL, Desire Clemons of Stockbridge, Kelsey McHone of Jackson, Zach McHone of Rex, Shelby (Kyle) Collins of McDonough, Leia Clemons of Stockbridge, Lana Clemons of Stockbridge, Jazmyne Hardy of Stockbridge and her triplet grandsons, Devin, Bryce and Miles Clemons; Great grandchildren, Adrian, Drew, Gracie, Braxton and McKenna; her Scottish terrier, Dollie Mae. Martha Janell Boyd was known to quote, "I love you more" and "The joy of the Lord is my strength". Funeral services will be held Monday, December 7, 2020 - 1:00 PM at Abundant Life Church, 751 Dean Patrick Rd., Locust Grove, GA 30248. Pastor Craig Bennett and Rev. Ernie Dorries will officiate. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family will also receive guests at 353 Easy Ridge Road, Monticello, Georgia 31064 following the interment at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
