Maria Luisa Buck

Maria Luisa Buck of McDonough GA passed away on Thursday September 29, 2022, at the age of 91, surrounded by family. Maruja, the nickname her family lovingly called her, was born on January 09, 1931, in Sevilla, Spain to Luis and Carmen Valdivia. She was the oldest of 5 sisters. She attended high school at the Convento De Sevilla. She married at the age of 33 to Frederick Buck on November 23, 1964, in Spain. They came to America in 1965. Moving from town to town as a US Air Force Military Family. She was a proud mother of 6 children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Maria was a strong and feisty lady with a super-fast walk. She loved cooking, making string art, traveling and searching for Desert Diamonds, she enjoyed going to the movies and chewing sunflower seeds. She also loved her morning coffee and Apple Fritters. She also received her certification as a Mixologist (Bartending). She was a loving housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She cooked for many people especially friends of Delta Airlines as well as family. She was loved by everyone who met her. She was behind the scenes many times without receiving any fanfare or accolades. She never wanted anyone to know how she served. She served until she was physically unable. She was generous with her time, talent and treasure all quietly. She loves Jesus Christ and studies scripture inside and out. Maria was a born-again Christian which brings us all comfort. She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Buck as well as her son George Leonard Buck. She had a total of 6 kids, son, Luis Buck; wife Sandra Buck (Arizona) kids Kaleena Buck married to Blake Shreeve (Arizona), Cameron Buck (Utah), Keaton Buck (Arizona), son Juan Buck; wife Keshly Buck (Georgia); kids Juan Buck Jr. Maria Buck, Devron Wall (all in Georgia), son Federico Buck wife Kim Buck (Arizona); kids Skylar Buck married to Nick Miler, Bailey Buck married to Rachael Buck, daughter Viola Pinkston married to Melvin Pinkston; kids Alyxandra married to Kwame Paige, Melvin Georgie Pinkston married to Dorothy Pinkston, Jada Pinkston, Sara Pinkston, (all in Georgia), son David Buck wife Arnette Buck (Detroit ) kids, Crystal (Miramar), Isabel (Las Vegas) Stephanie (Houston), Melanie (Detroit), son George Leonard Buck; US Army born June 14, 1966 died May, 19 1993. Great grandchildren; Ama Paige, Alya Paige, Amielle Paige, Prince Pinkston, Shyloh Pinkston, Gianna Pinkston, Ryleigh Price, Devron Wall Jr., Jade Wall, Adelyn Shreeve, Arya Shreeve, Aliah Shreeve, Corbin Shreeve, Ronan Shreeve, Sisters; Encarnacion de los Santos (Barcelona, Spain) Reyes Diaz (Sevilla, Spain) Cristina de los Santos (Barcelona, Spain) and Dolores Quitania - deceased, Nieces and Nephew; Apoline, Carmelita, Feli, Santiago Jr., Carmen, Luiza, and Silvia. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm - 7:00pm on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday in our chapel and burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
