Laura Jean Goldenberg Woodall, age 75, died February 3, 2022, at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge. She was born September 10, 1946, in Manchester, Georgia the only child of William Goldenberg and Sara Maddox Goldenberg.
Laura grew up in Manchester attending secondary schools there, graduating from Manchester High School in 1964. She attended Tift College prior to her marriage with Larry Craig Woodall December 19, 1965. Laura graduated from Columbus State University with an undergraduate degree in Education and later with a master’s degree in Speech Pathology. She conducted speech therapy in the Meriwether County School System and later in the Henry County School System.
In high school Laura was active in the music and drama programs. She participated as a majorette, in concert band, girl’s solo and trio, and the one-act and junior/senior plays. She was also active in drama at Tift. As an adult, Laura like her mother, Sara, loved to play bridge and did so for many years.
Laura was preceded in death by her father and mother, and a brother-in-law, Charles A. Woodall. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, their daughters Wendi (Jason) Raley of Woodland, Georgia, Erin Woodall of Locust Grove, Georgia; grandson, Todd (Sara) Raley of Kennesaw, Georgia; brothers-in-law Henry (Lynda) Woodall, Mark Woodall of Woodland, and Gregory Frederick of Wilmington, Delaware.
