John Franklin Patterson, age 75, of McDonough, Georgia passed away April 17, 2023. He was born April 17, 1948 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Julian and Bessie Dale Tingle Patterson. Frank graduated from Henry County High School, Class of 1966 and received a bachelor's degree from East Tennessee State University, where he played football.
Frank was an educator for many years, retiring from Riverdale Senior High School. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and enjoyed caring for the family farm in Ola where he was raised.
Survivors include his children, Bart (Breanne) Patterson of Flowery Branch, Hayli (Shane) Smith of Locust Grove and Brandon Patterson of Milton; grandchildren, Carter and Sloane Patterson, Reed, Riley and Rainey Smith.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 - 2:00 pm in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Lewis will officiate. Interment will follow at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Friday from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm prior to the service.
