Mrs. Jean W. Daniel, age 84 of Hampton, Georgia passed away May 12, 2018. She was born October 12, 1933 in Hampton to the late Andrew Byron Westmoreland and Lillie Mae Patterson Westmoreland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Drew Daniel, daughter, Donna Daniel, sons, Clay and Tommy Daniel and by two brothers and five sisters. Mama Jean, as she was affectionately known enjoyed raising her children and being involved in their sporting events. She and Drew were members of a Square Dancing Club in Griffin, where they made life-long friendships. They both enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, the Chicago Cubs, especially when Harry Caray was announcing plays, the Atlanta Falcons and the Georgia Bulldogs. Survivors include her son, Bobby Daniel and his wife, Tammy; four grandchildren, Haley, Courtney, Trevor and Cagney; great grandchildren, Franklin, Luci and Michael; sisters, Dorothy Henderson, Ann Gasses and Norma Westmoreland; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 – 11:00 AM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Berea Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
