Gregory Lynn Long, 62, of Stockbridge, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2022. He was surrounded by family as he succumbed from complications of his fight with cancer. Greg was a loving husband, father and friend to those who knew him. He loved traveling, golfing, hunting, fishing, Braves baseball, Dallas Cowboys and Georgia football and spending time with his friends and family. He will be greatly missed by many. Greg is survived by his wife Holly Lynne Long, daughter Jessica Lynn Long, brother Clifton Ray Long (Lisa Long), stepdaughter Erin Valentin, stepson Jordan Fredrickson, step grandson Noah Valentin, mother-in-law Gloria Rae Ballard, cousins, and friends. Greg was predeceased by his mother Dora Nell Long, father Linwood Sions Long, and numerous aunts and other family members. The family will hold a Celebration of Life on August 27, 2022 at The Wishing Well in Stockbridge. They ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they deal with this sudden loss.
