I was a classmate with Gerry at St. Joseph High School in Fremont, Ohio. Have and will always remember Gerry with a smile and a good laugh. God bless his family as they move to the next step. Have great memories of Gerry.

I will miss the way my dad  taught. He was teaching me his carving skills. He always told me mistakes were part of the process.  His lessons were always filled with patience and humor. The picture is the first thing I carved on my own. He was so proud. I promise to keep practicing dad. I love you.

We celebrated all of our birthdays at one time at an indoor golf facility.  As always we were very serious.  We miss you Dad!

Dad always turned pens to be delivered to Active Duty military personnel.  He always attached a personal message to each person who received their hand made pen.  It gave Dad great joy to make the pens, and even more joy that an active duty person would receive the pen.

Just WOW!  We lost a good man who’s heart was always set on two courses - his wife and doing right.  I have many good memories of working with him through the years at an X-ray company. He was in charge and worked right along with us.  We would have to make long runs to drop off X-ray equipment that we put together and he placed himself into the line-up list to take his turn to haul the equipment. One time when it was his rotation, he took his turn and we were pretty sure that he had another day of installing the equipment as it usually took us that long to get our installs done. So we all took off early for lunch and ran to the local pizza joint and commenced beer drinking for the afternoon.  Luckily I bugged out to hit a computer store for a new Commodore 64  computer (long time ago!).  After downing a couple gallons of beer at the outside eating area, the crew looked  up and here comes Jerry turning into the parking lot!  His  face, I am told, was as red as his company pick-up! Well, we had some fellers walking on egg shells and being their best after that event.  Jerry was a fair man.  After he cooled down - and he had every right to be upset - he advised that no one would be fired but dared everyone to do it just one more time! He and I laughed about that day long after we retired.  I am  going to miss my friend deeply.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Joan. He leaves behind his children Robert, Wendy, and Joseph, as well as two granddaughters, Hope and Faith, along with three grandsons, Billy, Thomas, and John, and one great granddaughter, Kilara. Jerry was an Air Force veteran who passionately served his country. Jerry was a talented and award winning woodworker, and was a member of several wood working clubs in the Atlanta Area. Jerry also enjoyed spending many hours researching his family genealogy.
