Doris June McMahon

Mrs. Doris June McMahon passed away Sunday May 9th at the age of 78. The fact that God called June home on the day set aside to honor mothers should come as no surprise to any who knew her. Her calling in life was to be the nurturing, caring, loving mom to a house full of children (whether they were hers or not).

June loved telling stories about her childhood and sharing memories with others. Many of those tales involved the family dog as there always seemed to be one around.

June was reunited in Heaven with her husband of 61 years John McMahon Sr. and sons John Jr. and Christopher McMahon. Her legacy lives on through the lives and stories of her children Chuck (Joann) McMahon, Bryan McMahon, Patrick (Kelly) McMahon, Jennifer (Gary) May and Danny (Donna) McMahon. June is also survived by those she enjoyed spoiling the most, her 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren as well as her brothers and sisters Joyce Summers, Deloris Barker, Milton Campbell and Jimmy Campbell.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough on Saturday May 15, 2021 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
