Deborah Jackson Smith

Mrs. Deborah Ann Smith, better known as Debbie, age 52, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away on July 16, 2016. Debbie was born in Port Angeles, Washington to Gary and Audrian Hahn Jackson. She proudly served our country in the US Army. Debbie was a graduate of Armstrong State University, where she majored in early childhood education. She passionately taught middle school students during her career and was a true advocate for hands on learning in the classroom. Debbie was artistic and really enjoyed drawing. Her vibrant, caring, and sweet presence will be greatly missed. Debbie leaves behind her husband, Michael Smith; daughters, Heather Kreller, Megan Heineman, Madison Smith, and MacKenzie Smith; grandchildren, Devon, Caden, and Addison; mother, Audrian Hahn; father, Gary Jackson and his wife, Nancy; brother, Robert Jackson; and her mother-in-law, Linda Smith. A service to honor Debbie’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 beginning 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor Brooks Everett officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will follow at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in Mesquite, Texas.
