David "Cowboy" Orrick, age 68, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Thursday June 14, 2018. David was born June 11, 1950. David attended Fulton High School in Knoxville, TN. He retired his 40 year career as a pipe fitter in 2012. David was a member of the Plumbing Pipe Fitting Union Local 72. He enjoyed the outdoors, while hunting and fishing, and was known to be an "Animal Whisperer" because of his love for all animals. David's hobbies included collecting die cast classic cars, small engine repair, and collecting all types of pocket and hunting knives. His greatest love of all is his family. Loyal to all who knew him. Cowboy was preceded in death by his mother, Lynelle " Nell" Orrick; father, David Orrick; and his sisters, Phyllis and Carolyn. David is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ann Orrick; his step-mother, Irene Orrick; his children, Amanda Kinney, Kristy Capps, Earl Pike, Marinda Nails, Matthew Pike, and Drew Pike; 15 grandchildren; 5 great- grandchildren; 1 brother; 4 sisters; many nieces and nephews; his sweet kitty cats, Baby and Peanut; and a great number of friends. A visitation for David will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Haisten Funeral Home, McDonough, Georgia. Following the visitation will be a memorial service at 2:00 PM at Haisten Funeral Home Chapel, McDonough, Georgia.
