Irene Ruth Bothman, 86, of Chester Street died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Bothman retired from Bell South after thirty-five years of service. She was a member of Seddon United Methodist Church and had played the organ for the church and Ruggles Campground for many years. Mrs. Bothman was born on May 8, 1925 the daughter of the late Sherman and Florine Jefferson Meek. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Graham (Carolyn) of Saint Albans, West Virginia; four grandchildren, Kim Shannon (Gary), Jeff Graham, Dale Graham (Stephanie) and Matthew Graham (April) and nine great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Eleanor Adkins and her brother, Harold “Buster” Meek. Funeral services for Irene Bothman will be held at the Seddon United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2012 with Reverend Ray Snider officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Garden of Memories. Pallbearers will be Jack Dwelly, Dale Graham, Matt Graham, Leroy Wallingford, Bill Dearing and David Dwelly. Visitation will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 297 Buttermilk Pike, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017.
