William R. Sayle, DVM

William R. Sayle, DVM, age 83, born Oct 15,1939, passed away March 28, 2023. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Olson) for 57 years, loving father of Kim (Marc) Patterson, Kellie Sayle, Elizabeth (Ryan) Mullenix and seven grandchildren: Sam, Ben, Elizabeth, Lilly, Cole, Quinn and Hayes. Bill passed away on March 28 after a long illness. He graduated from Orange High School in 1957, The Ohio State University in 1962 and The Ohio State Veterinary School in 1967. He and his twin brother, Bob, also a veterinarian, built the Village Veterinary Clinic in Mayfield Village in 1972. He and his wife have been residents of Orange Village for 46 years. Bill served as a school board member of the Orange City Schools for 12 years and was an active member of Garfield Memorial Church. He loved his family above all else, but also enjoyed basketball, golf, the OSU Buckeyes as well as the sunshine and being outside. Funeral services will be held at Garfield Memorial Church in Pepper Pike on Saturday, April 1. Visitation will be from 11:00-12:30pm with a service at 12:30pm. Luncheon to follow.
