The day's continue to go on but I think of the wonderful, awesome, bright Susan.  A friend that is so dearly missed and my fondest wishes for her family.

The earth has lost a beautiful soul and heaven has gained an angel. It is hard to believe that my last meeting with Susan at the Barlow CC would be the last time that I would ever get to talk to her. I was a big fan and I am still in disbelief. I can only imagine how devastated Susan's family is. I hope that everyone who knew Susan can find some healing. I know that I am a better person for having known her. She actually cared about people which is a rare quality these days.  God rest your soul Susan and may God bring strength to your family.

Susan, I am just stunned that such a radiant and funny person would die in a freak accident after running 33 marathons over so many terrains and weather conditions. Those of us who worked with Susan in Governor Taft's office knew her professionalism, dedication, talent, and her spirit. Her laughter rings in our ears.
We are all just taking this in as Susan was the last person we expected to leave us this early. So many wonderful memories and so devastated by her loss.

My deepest sympathy to Susan's husband Alan and her family. Susan worked at my office and from time to time we would talk about her accomplishments as a runner and a dietician.  I always remember her walking outside on her breaks and she was always smiling. She was also my husband's wellness coach and helped him to get back on track with a healthy lifestyle.  She was always very encouraging and she will be missed.  I am so sorry for your loss and we are thinking of all of you during this difficult time.

We are all saddened hearing about Susie.  Our families thoughts and prayers are with you all. Her sense of humor, heart and laughter will always be remembered.

Over the previous three years I learned a lot from Susan. She taught me to be a better dietitian and the work ethic required to run a wellness company. She worked hard every day to take pressure off our staff. She quickly went from coworker to boss to most importantly my friend. I will miss our daily walks where we talked a little about work and a lot about our families, running and "the good old days". You will be missed Susan.

I am so sad to learn of Susan's passing. I worked with Susan in the governor's office where she trained me and our colleague for our first marathon. We shared many laughs and I will always cherish those and the many other warm memories of Susan. May her husband and family be blessed with comfort.

I had the honor to work with Susan at GemCare Wellness since February. As a new Dietitian coming right out of my Masters, Susan was a great leader and mentor for me to look up to. She helped me become a more confident Dietitian. Her office door was always open for us RDs to come in and chat about anything from our job to life in general. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones during this difficult time.

Susan touched the lives of so many people here at GEMCARE Wellness. Words cannot express how much she will be missed. She is an example of what we all should strive to be in life. Her staff, fellow workers, patients, customers, and the many friends she has made loved and respected her. I will miss her sense of humor, smile, laugh, and the comfort that whatever she did, she did well. This is a great loss to all who knew her and to the business she was a cornerstone in building. In 2017, we will establish the Susan L. Satterfield Award for outstanding performance by a health coach. This will serve as a reminder to all what a special person Susan was.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Susan and working with her at GemCare Wellness.  I only worked with her for a short time but the first day I met her I remember how contagious her energy was.  Her smile just brightened up the office and her work ethic was one that everyone wanted to emulate.   Susan will be deeply missed as she touched all of our hearts and so many other lives.
