Attended the funeral at St Paschal Baylon Church, as I happened to be at church for Eucharistic adoration. Met and conversed with Nurse aide who has attended Ruth this past year, and who explained her wish to be present for Ruth's funeral. The aide had never attended a Catholic service.  I decided to stay for the funeral Mass. Later, I was led to look up Ruth's obituary and saw that her maiden name was Markert , a Danish name, and  derivative of my maternal grandmother's name "Marquardt" . Wonders!  Ruth, at 96 years old had only 1 relative in attendance and a legal representative, her nurse aide and aide's daughter, and myself. May she rest in peace!
