Patty always had a calming smile and great laugh with a sense of humor I will never forget. I’m so fortunate to have met Patty who was very special to me and my daughters. She will definitely be missed.

Fifty years ago this month, Patty and I entered the Sisters of Notre Dame. While God ultimately led her on a different path, Patty remained dedicated to Catholic education. It is evident from these posts that she impacted many lives in a positive way. I will always treasure her gentle and kind spirit, her warmth and wonderful sense of humor. Rest easy, Patty—you have earned your place with your loving God. My sympathy and prayers for all who mourn her loss.

When my daughter passed away, she came down to Florida to see me and  wanted to  visit my daughter’s grave. In that very painful moment, Patty was able to give me joy with her company and honor by her actions.

As parents of three children , we were blessed to have Patty as each of their teachers. She was truly a mentor that gave individual assistance to not only the students, but also to the other staff members as well as the parents of the students. She took the time to get to know all her students and assured them they were Loved.
She has definitely earned her space in God's heaven.

My condolences to everyone who was close to Ms. Mascia. She was a wonderful joyful teacher of mine at St. Gregory the Great School. She left a positive footprint on my heart as well as, I'm sure, countless other students. Rest easy Ms. Mascia in God's love in Heaven.

Patty was a kind and soft spoken person, we were all better people for having her in our lives ! The perfect junior high teacher. She treated each and every student with compassion and fairness, as they were her own child . Even after they left she would take the time to send them a letter, wondering how they were doing and offering support. We are forever blessed  and grateful that she was the one who was guiding them on their  path to high school. I was so very fortunate to have had her as a friend and co -worker at St Greg’s . Her advice and friendship I will always hold in my heart forever! 

Patty was a wonderful person and I loved working with her at Corpus Christi. She welcomed me and in the conversations we had, made me laugh! I loved hearing about her musical tastes and will always remember her kindness and happy demeanor. I will think of her and miss her.

It is with heavy heart to hear about Patty. She was a wonderful woman and neighbor. Many years ago she put out a plastic baby pool in her yard. Her lovely dog Rosie would pick up a ball in her mouth and sit in the pool. That is how I met Patty as she lived on the next street over from me. 
She had a big smile with a big heart. I often sat outside with her and our dogs in the summer time.  I hope she is watching Rosie and Allie play together again.

To have known Patty was a privilege. Dale and I always enjoyed our visits and will always cherish knowing her and her family. Earth’s loss is Heaven’s gain!  Patty was my neighbor for more than 20 years and I am honored to have called her my friend as well!  Patty was one of the kindest and nicest individuals I ever had the pleasure to know.  Always positive and friendly to those around her. Although I only knew Patty and her brother John for a short while, I truly enjoyed our visits together. She was such a kind soul and was always quick with a smile and a laugh. I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this time, as such a great presence must have left a large void in all the lives she touched.

I worked at St. Gregory the Great school with Patty.  She was  a kind woman, patient and funny.  Spiritual insight was certainly one of her assets as well.  My condolences to all who were close to her.

My heartfelt condolences to the dear Mascia family. When I heard the news of Patti’s passing my heart sank.  I saw Patti a few years ago and reminisced about our days in Community. She was a leader at 18 and very insightful. I know Our Lord is pleased with her life’s work and the thousands of lives she’s touched. Her kindness and love goes before her. Patty was one of the most compassionate, positive, creative, loving and humorous people that I have ever met.  I was blessed to meet her as a student at St. Greg’s and then a colleague when I returned.  She was an amazing mentor and source of peace.  Over the years we became close friends.  It was always a pleasure being around her good natured personality.  Whether we were on a long weekend up at the islands, at the casino, or just relaxing at her house, it was always a good time.  

I will miss Patty deeply.  There is a hole in my heart and so many others who knew her.  May God Bless her family, especially her brother John.  They were so close and he is an amazing person, just like her!  Love you Patty always ❤️❤️❤️

Patti was a real blessing to St. Gregory the Great School, Sacred Heart of Jesus Academy and Corpus Christi Academy.  So many of our children had the opportunity to grow in their Catholic Faith through the religion classes that she taught.  I always enjoyed visiting her classes.  She will be missed.

My condolences to the Mascia family on Patty's passing.  I had the pleasure of working with her when I subbed for two months at Corpus Christi Academy.  Patty was one of the most pleasant, upbeat, and helpful educator that I have met.  She touched many lives, and I am sure that the many students she taught have been enriched by her lessons. 

Patty, you were not only a wonderful neighbor, but a very dear friend. I love and miss you so very much, and will cherish the beautiful memories, time and conversations we shared, over the years. I am so sorry to hear that Patty has passed away... I worked with her many years ago when I worked in the Cafeteria at Saint Gregory the Great... She taught both of my daughters Carla and Monique Scalabrino. We all rememberer her fondly... She was  a great teacher. Always with the sweet smile and soft voice... May she rest in peace...

Miss Mascia is the reason I became a teacher. I was fortunate to be able to share this with her when I was finishing the education program at John Carroll and again when I had been teaching many years. Her joy and how rewarding she made this career look inspired me when I had her as a teacher in junior high. To Patty Mascia: thank you for inspiring me to follow in your footsteps all those years ago! To her family, friends and hundreds of students whose lives she touched: My condolences to you all!! Miss Mascia made eighth grade an extremely memorable time. She taught us what it meant to come together as more than a class but a family. It was an honor to know her, and I send my love and prayers to her family. 

Patty and I worked together at 2 schools and shared the love of kids and calligraphy.  One brother helped me with my appliances and the other we enjoyed Wicked together. I even looked into purchasing her mom's house. She shared everything and everyone.
I loved the way Patty softly spoke and cared about people, especially middle school students. She was fun loving and enjoyed music. Her spirit is in the hearts of so many, God speed my friend. You are now enjoying the hugs of your mom and best friend. Prayers for your family and friends. I will always remember you and see you when I get there.

Patty was a pillar of the St. Gregory the Great School community. She was highly respected for her many talents and grace as a junior high teacher at St. Gregs. She will be missed by all who knew her.
