David Ruckman

David Ruckman, husband of 60 years to Marilyn, beloved father to Samantha, Nikki and Danielle, father-in-law to Michael, and grandfather to David, Michael, Charlie and Sammy, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 3rd after his courageous 20 year battle with Parkinson’s.

For over 30 years David led brokers at Merrill Lynch where he was District Director overseeing more than 1,000 individual advisors across Ohio and parts of surrounding states. David was known for his authentic leadership, integrity, and good humour as well as a mentor and friend to many.

David loved Ohio and was a regular at nearly every sporting venue from The Ohio State University Football to the Cleveland Guardians. He was also passionate about the Cleveland Orchestra where he had served on the board of directors. David was a member of Phi Kappa Tau where he also served in a board capacity for many years having earlier served as president of his chapter while attending Ohio State University.

David touched so many people throughout his professional and personal life and will be remembered as one of the greats. He will be dearly missed but will now be at peace with Jesus for all eternity.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
