Although I haven't been in touch for many years, Bob has never left my thoughts. It seems like yesterday. Bob trained me at Milgray Electronics in the late '60's into the early '70's when we all said "Goodbye Broadway, Hello Freeport!"  Bob was instrumental in having me be one of the few selected to move with the company to Freeport. I have never, and will NEVER forget my kind, wonderful and caring friend Bob. Rest in Peace...

Dear Arlene,
Although it has been many many years, I have often thought of the early days when I was working for Bob at Milgray. I always looked up to Bob, as a great mentor. I remember the day he told me he was going to marry you. I said "It's about time!" I also fondly remember many times, Bob giving me a lift home in his cool green Corvette! Bob was a very gentle, kind, dignified man, and I will never forget him, he helped me through my younger years and we shared many great, fun times. The Villa Varick in Manhattan was our hangout in the late 1960's - I have many fond memories of Bob. He was very SPECIAL.  My sincerest best wishes to you and family. God Bless xo

“The Big Guy”  My friend of forty five years.  With Bob family always came first.  His career came second.  He loved his sports and we enjoyed bantering about the Boston and New York rivalries.  Professionally all of the companies that we had as customers both large and small all always reported that Bob was our biggest asset.  They truly loved and respected him.  In my many phone calls and visits to the Bush home our dialogue centered around Arlene, Michael, Stephanie and my family.  We both always knew how each others children were doing in sports over the years as this is what we enjoyed talking about most.  I miss breakfast with Stephanie.  She really made me laugh sitting in her high chair spilling her cereal onto my eggs.  Bob loved his family more than anything else.  God Bless you Arlene, Michael, Stephanie and family. Dear Aunt Arleen, Steph, Mike, Angela and Michael,

I have stuggled with what to write in this memoriam to Uncle Bob. Uncle Bob was always so happy and pleasant. I really don't ever recall seeing him angry or mad. I can still envision him ducking to avoid low hanging fixtures in my home (that makes me giggle). I can still hear his subtle chuckle. He did chuckle quite often. He is very much loved and missed.

Uncle Bob,

Thank you for being a wonderful Uncle. For helping us move and not even complaining to us after you hurt your back doing so. For always telling me as a young girl how beautiful I was. In the midst of adolescent angst I don't believe you realize how much that meant to me. And, for telling me how wonderful my kids were when I came to visit you in the hospital at the begining of your courageous fight with your illness. Uncle Bob - always thoughtful and caring about others before himself. 

I hope Judy is treating you well in heaven. Most likely she is talking your ear off!

Please know that you and your family are always in our thoughts and prayers. We are so sorry for your loss of Bob, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.  It didn't take long, once you met Bob, to realize what a special person he was.  He was  quiet, sensitive and a true gentleman. Above all, you saw what a devoted, proud and loving husband, father and grandfather he was and that there was nothing he wouldn't do for his family - evident by the two wonderful children you raised together and your beautiful grandson. He truly was one in a million.  We were so honored and proud to know him.

Dear Arleen, Stephanie, Mike, Angela and Michael Anthony,

Before I wrote this note in the Memory Page, I needed time to do so because when I did I knew I would have to come to terms with the deep sense of loss of Bob's passing.

Bob was a sweet brother-in-law who made a very lasting impression on all who knew him.  His rare combination of intelligence, character and sensitivity was truly remarkable.  His dry sense of humor always made us giggle and, of course, our family provided the material which made it so easy!!

As the priest said so beautifully in his eulogy, Bob was a gentleman who dealt with his illness with characteristic courage.  He loved his wife and together they raised two talented children to successful adulthood.  His love for his children, daughter-in-law and grandson is timeless.

I know that the memories of the many happy occasions we all shared with Bob will continue to warm our hearts and bring us much comfort in the years to come.

I will miss my backyard gardening buddy and our early morning chats over the never ending battle of the weeds. Bob was a kind and thoughtful man. I couldn't ask for a better neighbor. He will be greatly missed. My heartfelt sympathy to all his family.

Dear Arleen, Stephie, Mike and Angela,
Ever since we moved into this North Massapequa area (almost thirty years ago) we knew quickly just how lucky we were.  Yes, we had purchased a nice house to raise our family, but what made our house so special was the loving neighbors around us.  We are surrounded  by "good people".  Bob was on the quiet side, a gentle man with a big frame and even bigger heart.  He was a family man who appreciated the simple blessings in life.  He loved to get up early and tinker in his garden.  He loved his flowers and gardening in the quiet of the morning.  He was so proud of his kids and the people that they have grown to be.  His face lit up around his grandson.  He valued his best friend, his wife Arleen.
I will always remember how Bob and Arleen welcomed me and new-born Kevin into their home when John had chicken pox.  They treated us royally.  I will smile when I think of Bob calling Boomer over to the fence to let Michael give the dog a treat.  He will be greatly missed.

When we think of Bob, we remember  a man so proud of his family with so much love to offer. It is with our deepest sympathy we send you our love and prayers to help you through this most difficult time.

I met Bob in 1983 when I started at Milgray Electronics.  I was in sales and Bob in Marketing...Little did I know that within 3 yrs I would be one of his direct reports..I credit Bob with giving me the work ethic I have today..He  was always kind, supportive and a great teacher in his own quiet way....

We would go out for a few drinks after work with Joe Sowa and the team and just talk about work and the "idiots" :)  we had to put up with....Laughing the entire time...

Bob is and was truly one of the greats...I am proud to call him a "friend" and he will be missed by all who knew him
