Vern has made his last trip to the golf course to meet his wife, Pat. He was known for his love of golf, coffee, and family. He was a car salesman for as long as anyone can remember, and his colorful use of language always made him stand out. Rolandus Vern Denney was born on September 7, 1933 to Milo and Lida Mae Denney. He grew up in Adrian, Michigan with his 8 siblings. He lived his life exactly how he wanted and was never afraid to speak his mind. He always said life started when he married his beloved wife, Petra (Pat) Denney on April 18, 1965.
Together they are survived by their 4 children, Craig (Jo), Kevin, Mark, and Selena (Gary) Potter; their 8 grandchildren, Aubrey, Amanda (Bryan), Amber, Jessica, Shelbe, Gage, Brooklyn, and Colin; and their 7 great-grandchildren, Mia, Delano, Quin, Veda, Luna, Wyatt, and Damien. Vern will be fondly remembered by family and friends, even if it’s just for his choice use of words.
Services will be held on July 14, 2018 at 2/42 Community Church-Lansing Campus, 2600 Bennett Rd., Okemos, MI 48864. Friends and family are welcome at 11:00 a.m. with Hilda Davis officiating services at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will follow accordingly. The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Ball Dunn Chapel. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.grbdmason.com for the Denney family.
