Richard Vern Dawson, age 89, of Lansing, Michigan passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Richard was born November 12, 1932 to Edgerton and Ethel Dawson. He worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for nearly 60 years and was an usher for Mt. Hope Church and a volunteer for New Direction Ministries. Richard is survived by his son, Ron, his daughter, Charlotte (Bennie), his son, Rich (Carol), his daughter, Diane, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Luella, his son, Robert and his daughter, Carol.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Mt. Hope Church, 202 S. Creyts Rd., Lansing Michigan. Visitation will begin at 11am, followed by a memorial service at 12pm.
