Mary L. Henneman, 76, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 in Augusta, Georgia while visiting her son. Born July 28, 1941 in Niagara Falls, New York to Carl and Madeline (Clements) Acome, Mary grew up on a farm in Youngstown, New York before moving with her husband, Richard Henneman, to Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard J. Henneman, her brothers, David and Tom Acome, and granddaughter, Veronica J. Olney.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bill (Amy) Henneman of Rincon, Ga, and Jodi (Ben) Sweezy of Mason, MI; her grandchildren, Crystal (Troy) Thomas, Angela Henneman, Brooke Olney, Allison Sweezy and Alexis Sweezy; and her siblings, Sam (Jackie) Acome, Judy (John) Loomis, Jim (Pat) Acome and several nieces and nephews and an uncountable number of friends.
Mary was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church, and she used her crafting skills to make beautiful quilts for family and church members. She liked being outdoors, camping, boating and soaking up the sun. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, friends and family.
Services are Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 2pm until 4pm and 6pm until 8pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Mason Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:00am at All Saints Lutheran Church, 720 W. South St., Mason. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at church.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s honor to the family to help cover the cost of flying her back to Michigan, American Heart Association and Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
