Kathleen (Kathy) Marie (Westra) Olson, 87 of Mason, formerly of Leslie, passed away Oct. 9, 2023 at Olive Branch in Perry, Michigan.
Born in Michigan Center, MI to the late Herbert and Doretha (Hall) Westra on Nov. 4, 1935.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Charles O. Olson, her brother Kenneth L. Westra and brother in law Gaylord Lohrer.
Graduating from Michigan Center in 1953. She was a full time mother of 4 children, enjoyed country music (Daniel O'Donnell), crossword and jigsaw puzzles, camping and making photo albums out of canvas and yarn.
Kathy is survived by her children: Terry Olson of Okemos, twin daughters Pam (Hughie) Cain of Mayville, Tammy (Randy) Alexander of Perry, Cindy (Scott) Curliss of Mason. Sibling: Maurita J. Lohrer of Grayling, MI. Grandchildren: Angie (Jerry) Wheaton, Brian Olson (Carissa), Daniel Potter. 4 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, nephew Ron (Lynn) Lohrer and a great friend Luann Conant.
Per her wishes cremation will take place and a memorial service honoring Kathy's life will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes-Mason, MI.
In lieu of flower, memorial contributions can be directed to Olive Branch in Perry or to a charity of your choice.
