She was born on November 4, 1966 in Lansing, and grew up in the Mason area with her parents, Robert and Mary Jo (Moon) Stewart and two brothers, James and Jason. She attended college and while working as a waitress, met her husband, Jeffrey Cox. While he served in the US Army, Jennifer was a supportive spouse who moved around the country as his postings changed until he retired as a First Sergeant and settled back into their hometown area.
Jennifer loved gardening, cooking, and was known for her Christmas candy and homemade soaps. She loved movies, although she was usually watching on her own when it came to her favorite chick flicks. Her enjoyment of crime shows and medical dramas was matched only by her joy in completing puzzles and winning board games, especially Trivial Pursuit and Mad Gab.
Jennifer will be lovingly remembered by her husband, SFC (Ret) Jeff; her sons, Taylor and Matthew; her parents; and her siblings, James (Tina) and Commander (Ret) Jason (Karin); as well as her dear friend, Kara Kramer.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 17 from 3pm until 7pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Mason Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson St. in Mason.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jennifer's honor to National MS Society, P.O. Box 91891, Washington DC 20090-1891. https://mssociety.donordrive.com/campaign/Jennifer-Cox-Celebration-of-Life
