Genevieve Sedgman

Genevieve retired from Darrell’s Market in Mason where she worked for over 30 years. Prior to working there she worked at the Mason Bakery. Family and caring for children was a big part of her life. Genevieve helped raise her great-grandchildren, Robin’s grandchildren, from the time of their birth until she no longer was able. She enjoyed reading and kept very busy.

She is survived by her children, Sherrye (Doug) Elkins, Jeff (Teresa) Sedgman, and Robin (Al) Schlehuber; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Doris Andreau, Margaret Abbott, Gary (Sharon) Smith, and Tom (Kathy) Smith. Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert “Bob” Sedgman; great-granddaughter, Kendra Kepler; great-great-granddaughter, Rose Cabin; siblings, Hilda Volmer, Eva Franklin, Veda Howard, Clarence “Bud” Smith, Walt Smith, and Roland “Pink” Smith.

Private family services will be held. Burial will take place at N. Aurelius Cemetery, Mason where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Bob.

Memorial Contributions in her name may be made to a Charity of Donor’s Choice.
