You'll be greatly missed my friend. Always a good time when you were around. Wealth of knowledge who shared it to anyone needing assistance. Prayers. 

Joanne and family. I am so sad to hear this. I always looked forward to seeing you and Ed when there were any family gatherings. Although we haven’t seen each other in a while, you and Ed were always my favorite people to see. Ed was a a warm and funny guy who could always put a smile on my face. I will cherish my memories of him. Rest In Peace Ed.

Eddy was a treasured friend for 50 years.  He and Jo Ann have been dear friends with my wife and I for 30 or so years.  We looked forward to their visit every winter after their trip to Hawaii or Palm Springs.

Eddy had the gift of friendship. He created webs of people. He was so important to Annette and myself.  He has left a hole in our lives.

Our hearts go out to Jo, Nate and Carol Ann.  

Eddy enriched our lives in many ways, and I am certain he impacted many others as much or more.  We will miss him.

Some of my most memorable moments in my early to mid 20's have   Jo and Ed in them.  From the moment I was introduced to the term Deadhead and the Jerry Garcia portrait in their dining room.  To this day, every time I hear a Grateful Dead song or I see tie dye, I fondly think of them.   I will always remember Ed with his beaming smile and equally beaming personality.  RIP Thor! 

Eddie was a kind, gentle soul, an exemplary public servant with the wittiest extemporaneous sense of humor I’ve ever known. Everyone was always so comfortable at Ed and Jo’s house.  A few of us have mentioned that we began to think “Ednjo” was one word. Their home was, and will be again but without our Ed, a gathering place where warmth, graciousness and humor abound. A friendship that lasted 53 years with so many similar life experiences is a rich treasure that will always be cherished. Great love for this man continues and you will be missed, man. “And if you go, no one may follow. That path is for your steps alone.” If we knew the way, we would take you home but instead we say our grateful thanks.

At carols wedding during Ed’s speech. He thanked me (the hairdresser) and the other service people that helped with catering music etc. In almost 20 years of doing wedding hair it’s the only time anyone was as considerate as Ed to thank “the help” I loved him. Also, mystery dates for life. I will always think of Ed and jo as the founders of the mystery date on every future mystery date! 

Eddie was such a funny guy, I always was happy to see him and he was supportive of me when I was just starting out in my career. My condolences to his family.

I had the extreme pleasure of working with Ed for the last 14 years of his career with MIOSHA.  He was smart, thought-provoking and devilishly fun and funny.  I still remember his love of a good meal on our many road trips across the state doing hazard communication training.  I was at a loss for words when I heard he was gone.

Just like anyone who ever met Eddie, I’ve got a ton of memories that make me smile when I think of them.  One of my favorites was many years ago following a round of golf in Gaylord, sitting in a local pub, when the waitress warned us that the big guy standing at the bar would probably ask us to buy him a drink but we could just ignore him because “that’s just Kenny and he lives under the overpass on I-75”.  Well, that was all Ed had to hear to invite the guy over to join us. We bought Kenny a couple drinks and hung out for awhile. When it came time to leave, he gave each of us a big bear hug and said “thanks for being my friend”, which became a humorous catchphrase for the four of us for years. Eddie….I’ll always miss the fun, the jokes, the conversations around music, sports, and politics, the golf, and the overall friendship. See ya’ in another life, brother. 

Ed was a champion for worker safety and his work with the Michigan Safety Conference was inspirational.  He never failed to make us laugh and smile but kept our safety mission and the health of the organization in focus for all.  He will be missed.  My heart breaks for your loss.  Michigan workers are safer every day thanks to Ed's contributions.

Ed played in our Making the Turn Against Parkinson’s golf outing each year.  Although I did not know him well, Ed was always quick with a smile and a firm handshake or fist bump whenever we met.   I am grateful for his support for those of us living with Parkinson’s and will miss his smile and joy for golf at our golf outing this year.

So sad to hear of Eds passing.  When I visited Cal many years ago and met Jo and Ed, they were very gracious to me and though I didnt see much of him over the years, he was always a fun, happy guy. My sincere sympathies to Jo and the family.

Joan Bauer notified me of your husband’s passing and I just want to say how deeply  sorry I am  for you and your family’s loss .  It seems like only yesterday we, our spouses and family members were all part of the Ingham family.  As part of that family, and with fond memories, my heart  now goes out to you and yours.

I am so sorry to hear of Ed’s passing.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.  I remember Ed from our Ingham days and have such fond memories of him.  

Sure miss those card games we had together and all those pool parties and block parties. So sorry to hear the sad news. We will forever remember Ed.

One of my favorite memories of Eddie is when He, Jo, Craig and myself went to Hawaii.  We played golf, saw an active volcano, ate a lot of great food, drank a lot of cocktails with an umbrella in them and my favorite part, went zip lining even though my son wondered if it was “age appropriate”.  Being that we were sharing a condo we were also exposed to Eddie’s red plaid flannel night shirts that went down to his ankles.  An image I will have forever.

We don’t always know why things happen Eddie, but your beautiful legacy will live on through your children, grandchildren and your lovely wife.  I will miss you.
