Mason, Michigan
Born January 10, 1934 in Alma, Michigan to Robert and Christine (Fettig) Quinlan, passed away on October 14, 2018, at the age of 84. BillIe Jean was a resident of the greater Lansing area most her life until 1972. She then moved to Mason and lived on the family farm where she enjoyed her horses and growing her irises. Billie Jean was a member of the St. James Catholic Church. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader in Lansing and was a very active 4-H leader. Billie Jean was in the Quilters Guild and an artist. She was known for her cookies from the “Weaver Cookie Co.”
Billie Jean was preceded in death by her parents; two sons-in-law, Eugene VanLancker, Arthur C. Day Jr.; brother, Robert Quinlan, and sister, Ramona Haight. Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 63 years Kenneth; three daughters, Rebecca Day, Rochelle VanLancker, Christine (Matthew) Cimala; 11 grandchildren, Arthur C. Day III, Charlene M. Riner, Jennifer R. Newcomb, Kenneth R. Day, Sarah C. Day, Janelle M. Power, Steven Riner, Taryn R. VanLancker, Branden C. VanLancker, Alisha D. Cimala, Christopher M. Cunningham; three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at St. James Catholic Church, 1010 S. Lansing St., Mason, MI 48854. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854 and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan located on North Fancher Street.
