Rudy Williams, 73, passed away on December 24th, 2018, at his home after a lingering illness. He was born on April 15, 1945 in Brigham City, Utah, to Arbery R. and Helen Gordon Williams. Many of his childhood years were spent in California, where he graduated from Lincoln High School in Stockton. After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley, Rudy served his country as an officer in the US Army. Rudy has always been a free-spirit. He operated a small flying service as the airport manager, flight instructor, charter pilot, and instrument instructor. In the meantime, he owned a small 30 farm in Acampo, California, upon which he raised animals, crops, and a family. After pursuing a Ph.D. in Organizational Development, he settled in Seattle 30 years ago. He was employed as a Consultant in Leadership Development and Team Building Coach at Virginia Mason Medical Center and at Boeing. His greatest love was the outdoors - hiking and camping. He hiked every step of the 2650 mile Pacific Crest Trail in 2000. He found great pleasure in serving in leadership positions in his church, fostering the cause of Scouting, and supporting service projects of all kinds.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen, of 52 years; two sons, Jason and Troy Williams; two daughters, Tiffany Hadley and Rebecca Johnson; 19 grandchildren; and his brother Gordon.
