Raelyn Nicole Davis, aged 24, of Everett and Marysville, WA completed her mortal existence on Saturday, October 15th, 2022 when her story was tragically cut short. At the time of her passing, she was enrolled in a culinary internship at Kindred Kitchen in Everett, WA.
Raelyn was born on September 14th, 1998 in Everett, WA to Stephanie K. Smith (née Evans) and Scott A. Davis. She attended school in Marysville, WA graduating in 2017 from Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
Raelyn was a loyal friend, sister, cousin, niece, daughter, and granddaughter who cared deeply about people and was willing to help family and friends any time they needed it. As a sister, Raelyn always looked forward to any time she could spend with her siblings. She was very spontaneous and was always up for an adventure. Her loved ones will tell you that Raelyn was confident, brave, fierce, self-assured, independent, knew her worth, and was a ray of sunshine in everyone’s life. She constantly kept people laughing with her unique Rae-ness.
Some of Raelyn’s favorite activities included: going to the hair salon; playing games with her many cousins, aunts, and uncles; lunch dates; watching sports, and camping with her dad; being at the lake; road trips; spending time with her siblings, family, and many friends; making Christmas cookies with her mom; and Sunday trips to Costco. Raelyn’s loved ones will greatly miss her frequent phone calls and messages where she would always make sure they knew how much she loved them and her incredible hugs.
Having a great love of animals, Raelyn had volunteered at PAWS. Besides loving her own dogs, she frequently dog-sat for others and always stopped to pet any she came across. Raelyn was always willing to help her family, friends, and strangers. From the time she was young, Raelyn could spend all day watching cooking shows and enjoyed cooking and baking. Raelyn also enjoyed playing any card or dice game, especially Farkle, and would beat everyone nine times out of ten. Her friends and family will always remember her cry of “boo-yeah!” after every one of her victories.
Raelyn is survived by her mother Stephanie of Redmond, father Scott of Marysville, WA; siblings Shawn Lyons of Seattle, WA, Taryn, Xavier, and Alex Smith of Redmond, WA, and Kaylee and Myles Stewart of Everett, WA. Her grandparents Geri Davis of Everett, WA, Marilyn (Tenbrink) and Tom Haas of Lake Stevens, WA; and great-grandparents Alma Jean and George Tenbrink of Marysville, WA. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins (both by blood and of the heart) who she deeply loved. Raelyn is preceded in death by her beloved grandpa, Linn Davis.
